Procrastinating - just a little bit more

Despite having mountains of work to do, I decided to post here. There's a wee bit of news, I don't know if you will find any of it particularly interesting.

Well on Wednesday night, I think it was, three or four of the house's most stupid students ran around the house with a deodorant can spraying thick lines and circles on carpets and walls. They then proceeded to light the deodorant, making large burn marks in the carpet, almost tripping the smoke alarm and leaving a permanent stain. The Deputy Headmaster, Peter Rainey, and the new Director of Boarding, Malcolm Powys, are presently at the house assessing damage and determining the punishment for the offenders. It looks as if there are to be 3 suspensions, 1 expulsion, numerous gatings and even more Friday afternoon jobs. Silly billies...

Otherwise there is not much more to be said, maybe I should conclude with my favourite quote (this is only temporary, soon I shall find a better one.

"The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has a limit."

No real news...

Thursday: Dr Timothy F Hawkes makes the front page of the Sydney Morning Herald because he doesn't like the Da Vinci Code. He writes a letter criticising the book and advises readers/moviegoers to enjoy the art of literature but not be affected by the anti-Christian, demoralising notions of Brown's work.

Friday: I go to the dining hall for breakfast and I am really looking forward to my refreshing glass of orange juice. I take a large swig and am horrified to find that it is in fact not orange juice, it is TANG, and this is proven to me when I reach the bottom of glass and observe the undissolved powder particles. I suppose the King's School cannot afford orange juice; it only turns over $53 million per annum, and it's not like the students are forced to buy the headmaster's books, or pay for hyperinflated goods at the Braeside Shop, or watch the productions at the theatre. Honestly, what is wrong with a nice glass of juice?

Sigh...

Hmm... there is no riveting news to share... but someday there will be, and this blog will have some value to others...

So I must leave you so abruptly... bye then...

Untitled

Incredible. When I press the buttons the corresponding characters appear on the screen.

Presently there is little to discuss. Recent news? OK, phone ran out of battery, corner of front cover of "Lord of the Flies" (by Sir William Golding) became mysteriously creased, shower nozzle was pointing in wrong direction...

Should a truly riveting event happen or comment burst forth, I shall post accordingly. Perhaps this will even be later tonight.

But for now I bid all you imaginary readers a fair and good night.
